RW5/SM/12/01 - Commercial Insurance offer to replace CNST.
Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust (LCFT) is looking to procure a
commercial alternative to the NHS Litigation Authorities (NHSLA) Clinical
Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST), therefore opting out of the scheme
from 1.4.2012.
LCFT has taken the decision to procure said contract via the OJEU
Competitive Dialogue process on the basis that the ability to adequately
describe whatever alternatives may be commercially available for tendering
with the Open or Restricted procedures is severely limited. As such,
interested bidders are asked to respond to via the Trusts eTendering
portal https://nhssbs.eu-supply.com/ stating their interest in submitting
a tender and including as part of the Shortlisting process (PQQ) an
initial outline proposal giving details of the bidders proposals to meet
the trusts requirements, and also providing references, case studies and
evidence of examples where the form of contract has been successfully
implemented, or given the lack of such activity in the NHS to date,
assurances as to its viable use in the NHS.
