UK-Plymouth: construction work for university buildings

Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Marine
building.
Design development and Construction of a four storey building of
approximately 4 500 m² space. The Ground floor will house the Wave Tank
facility and flumes. A mezzanine floor will provide support space and an
observation area. The upper three floors will be for office and department
uses with a mixture of open plan space, meeting rooms and partitioned
offices. The Building is to be mainly naturally ventilated and must
achieve an Excellent BREEAM rating.
The Marine Building is to house and identify the School of Marine Science
and Engineering in a cnetral location within ththe University's main
campus, in line with the Estate Strategy.
