UK-Letchworth Garden City: refuse recycling services

Agreement for the collection of mixed plastics, Tetra Pak and Cans.
Refuse recycling services. 2.2 The Council requires the collection and
recycling of mixed plastics, Tetra pak and Cans from local recycling
collection banks, situated at collection sites across the District. The 51
sites are detailed in site schedule at section 8 of the tender response
pack. The sites are district wide and cover both rural and town locations.
The capacity of the collection containers and the collection frequencies
have been aligned to the nature of the site, footfall, location and use. A
contractor is required to provide collection containers and carry out a
collection from all of these sites, transferring all the mixed plastics,
tetra pak and cans for reprocessing for a contract term of 2 years from
1.8.2012 until the 31.7.2014, having the option to extend the contract by
minimum periods of 1 year, with a maximum contract length of no more than
5 years. At the end of the contract term, the supplier will be responsible
for the removal of the collection containers from all of the sites.
