UK-Belfast: public road transport services
Summary
NICS Porterage Services With Furniture Storage Facilities.
The Central Procurement Directorate (CPD) on behalf of the Northern
Ireland Civil Service and all participating bodies listed in the
Conditions of Contract, intends establishing a two year contract with
options to extend for 2 further periods of 12 months each for the removal
and storage of office furniture and equipment. It is anticipated that this
contract will commence on 1.1.2012. The successful Tenderer will be
required to provide porters, and vehicles (with drivers) as requested by
Departments, to carry out specified delivery and removal work. This will
include the delivery and removal of furniture, files and office equipment,
between and within Government Buildings throughout Northern Ireland.
Supplies and Stores Unit is a section within Properties Division which
falls under the remit of the Department of Finance and Personnel (DFP).
Properties Division provides Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) staff
with accommodation and the necessary office furnishings to enable the NICS
staff to carry out their duties. Properties Divison already has its own
directly employed porters and a storage facility suitable for the storage
of new and used furniture. However, historically, a separate porterage and
storage contract has been required to supplement these resources. The Unit
also has a quantity of carrying crates. These crates may be made available
to the Tenderer in preference to renting crates from the Tenderer.
CPV: 60112000.
