Company description

Profile of UNEKO
We are a company, which is focused on foundry production and engineering. We supply casts from non-ferrous metal and a wide range of mechanical components. From the beginning in the year 1991 have we gained a reputation on the domestic and also worldwide market. In 08 / 2003 we got CSN EN ISO 9001:2001 certificate.

The foundry of non-ferrous metal in Nove Herminovy uses two basic technologies – casting in sand forms and gravity die to metal forms (casting of aluminum fusions to moulds). In cooperation we are able to provide heat machining too. From the materials we can offer tin, red and aluminum bronze and fusions of aluminum regarding standard international norms. Our pattern shop is in cooperation with design engineers of our customers.

The machining plant in Zator achieves high quality of machining especially thanks to great CNC-machine tools.

At this time our team consists of 100 reliable professional workers. Because of our production and also because of possibilities of our foundry and machining plants we reach a turnover of 100 mil. Kc per year and production about 200 tons of non-ferrous metal castings.

1991 - Establishing of UNEKO, spol. s r.o.
1992 - Business activities, selling of art non-ferrous castings, brass mounting, tin cups etc.
1993 - Purchasing of machining plant TOS Olomouc in Nove Herminovy.
1994 - Realization of investment plan – foundry of non-ferrous metal.
1995 - Casting of fusions of copper, building of gas system.
1997 - Flood, water 1.5m, damage about 18,5 mil. Kc. modernization of machinery, purchasing of CNC machining tools, expansion outside Europe – export to USA.
1999 - New methods of foundry production – casting in moulds; modernization of air system in foundry.
2000 - Building of new machining plant – Zator.
2001 - Opening of new plant in Zátor: 3,000 m2 of production area.

Products

Foundry production
The foundry of non-ferrous metals in Nové Hermínovy produces castings from fusions of aluminum and copper. The foundry uses two basic methods of casting:

Casting in sand forms
Sand forms are made by hand-made and machine forming. We use two sorts of sand – synthetic (siliceous with concrete binder) and oil. Oil sands are used to produce special thin-wall castings with high requirements on quality of surface. Maximal weight of castings from Cu-fusions cast in sand forms is cca. 180 kg, from Al-fusions cca. 100 kg.

Casting in moulds
The technology of gravity dies casting guarantees reaching of requirements in quality of surface and precision. Mould castings weight max. 10 kg and max. sizes are 500 x 500 x 150 mm. When cast in moulds, we use pneumatic and hydraulic technology.

Department of technological preparation
Department of technological preparation of production works with documentation of customer and determines the most optimal technology of casting. It also prepares detail plan for production.

Modeling department
Our own modeling department produces models of wood, resin and metal (also combinations of these materials}. Matter of course is modification of customer’s models to fit to our technology.

Surfacing of castings
The surface of castings can be modified: cropped, grinded and jetted by steel or stainless granulate. We also use jetting by corundum. More exacting castings can be given to vibrating cylinder with grinding bodies.

Quality control
The continuous quality control of every operation guarantees the highest quality of castings. Measurements and tests are performed by common measuring devices (digital measuring, measurement of solidity, photo documentation). Nondestructive tests (ultra-sound, X-ray, chemical analysis are made in cooperation with other companies.

Engeneering production
The newly built machining plant in Zator is one of completed investments of our company. It is equipped with most modern CNC machines. It is involved in production of precise engineering parts and in machining of castings and forgings from one-piece to large series orders. We machine wide variety of materials, for ex. plastic materials, non-ferrous metals, grey iron, steel of all kinds including stainless.

We are able to guarantee the maximum quality of our services because of direct subordination of quality department to management of company. This department prepares the quality requirements for production and provides continuous tests of each production operation, including the tests of final products.

Some of more technological comprehensive tests are done by our partners. The choice of these partners is done by very comprehensive testing. Only the most flexible and skilled partners are able to meet our requirements.
