Introduction of the Company
Stredomoravská metalurgická a strojírenská akciová company was based in 1993 by privatizing of a part of Moravské Železárny company. The company portfolio includes manufacturing of work pieces of castings and forgings, manufacturing of foundry pattern equipments and die forging equipments including trimming tools. The company comprises of two manufacturing departments, machining department and tooling department which is further split into metal modelling center and die forging center.
Engineering department is equipped with CAD/CAM systems enabling 3D surface modelling of complex tools.
The machining department uses NC and CNC lathes, CNC machining centers and NC drilling machines. The tooling department is equipped with NC milling machines, CNC electroerosion machines and classical machine tools. Company machinery got significantly updated during last few years and new investments into facilities are pending.
The key inland customers of the machining department is Moravske Zelezarny company while the core of our outland customers are German manufacturers of filtering and circulatory equipments, hydraulics, pneumatics and a Slovakian engine compoment supplier.
The key customers of our tool department are located in Czech Republic, mainly Moravske Zelezarny and other forge and iron-foundry plants all over the country. Tooling products are partly exported to Germany and France, too.
