Company description

The tradition of the foundry production dates back to 1842 – i.e. 3 years after foundation of the Tøinec steelworks. Until 1999 the foundry was a part of the Tøinec steelworks. On 31st March, 1999 our company became an independent joint-stock company with the name “Foundry Tøinec”. Our longtime experience in production of castings is used to meet the requirements of customers not only from the Czech Republic and Europe, but also from other countries including the overseas. Present production of castings is concentrated into the cast iron foundry (a part of which is also a centre of production of non-ferrous metals) and the steel foundry. A wood-pattern shop and maintenance with the metal-pattern shop as a centre support the foundry departments. In the wood-pattern shop and metal-pattern shop we produce, repair, modify and store wood, metal and resin patterns. The quality certificates are a matter of course for our products. If a customer demands so, we carry out non-destructive tests, e.g. X-ray, ultrasound, magnetic pouring and others. If required we supply castings
in raw state, primed, rough machined or finally machined in our own machining centre or in cooperation with other companies. References of our customers prove high quality of our castings and their high usage properties even in the extreme conditions. The Foundry Tøinec, a.s. possesses the quality system certificate according to EN ISO 9001, as well as the certificate according to EN ISO 14 001 concerning the environmental protection. Our company also possesses the production certificates from the following organizations: Lloyds Register, BUREAU VERITAS, DET NORSKE VERITAS, RW TÛV and others that guarantee that the technical and usage parametres of our castings meet the requirements set by specific standards or conditions. The Foundry Tøinec, a.s. is therefore prepared to fully meet your specific requirements also
in the New Millennium.

STEEL FOOUNDRY

The steel foundry produces castings from 50 to 8000 kilos by hand moulding and castings from 5 to 200 kilos by machine moulding. These castings are produced in a wide range of more than 100 types of casted materials from carbonaceous to medium and highly alloyed steel. Our products are used in various industries. That is for example in railway and tramway traffic – frogs, detachable pins and base plates, in the ship traffic - chain wheels, for the construction machines – teeth for excavators, plates of belt, for mining and processing of raw materials – crushing cones and hammers, links of excavator conveyors for the open-pit mining, abrasion-resistant plates from manganese steel, spare parts for mining and metallurgy e.g. scraper plates, slag pots, rolls for rolling mills and many other castings are used in the machine industry.


IRON FOUNDRY

The cast iron foundry produces castings from gray and nodular iron from 30 to 35 000 kilos by hand moulding and
castings from 5 to 500 kilos by machine moulding.
The main hand moulding products include a great variety of counterweights for construction machines and high-lift
trucks with weight up to 15 000 kilos. The production program also includes rolls for rolling mills made of cast,
nodular and alloyed iron up to weight of 35 000 kilos, then the production of ingot moulds, mould bottom plates
and mould equipment, coolers for the blast furnaces and spare parts for the metallurgical aggregates.
Our joint-stock company successfully introduces production of bottom dies of pressers for the automobile industry
and last but not least we produce castings from gray and nodular iron for the machine industry.
The castings up to 500 kilos are produced by machine moulding in medium and big series. Our production
assortment also includes castings of gearboxes, castings for drainage system, castings for the agricultural
machines, for printing industry, various types of minor castings, castings for traffic, grate bars for agglomeration,
spare parts for metallurgical and mining machines.
Additional assortment of the cast iron foundry represent the art castings.

The centre of non-ferrous metals produces by hand moulding mainly tuy res for the blast furnaces and
semi-products for spare parts for metallurgy – boxes, bronze bars..
