Company description
Mr. Vaclav LOSENICKY established his own grey cast iron-foundry, where he took advantage of his rich expertise acquired in prominent plants and foundries in Vienna, Linz, Budapest, Graz and also in many domestic ones, at Caslav in the year 1912. The beginning was difficult; however, the young company gained a good reputation thorough and hard work. Mr. Losenicky's son continued to build up the company, and when his father died, he took over management of the foundry. The business operated until the year 1949, when the Communists forcibly took it over, and in the year 1991 the company was returned in restitution to the original owners.
At present the foundry is again a going concern where aluminium gravity castings into sand with weights from 0.1 kg to 1,400 kg and into steel moulds from 0.1 kg to 10 kg are cast. The foundry is capable of fulfilling demands of customers for both individual and serial products. The company does not have its own tool-making room but on request it can carry out sand blasting, polishing, heat treatment and synthetic tightness of castings micro-porosity. The current yearly production is approximately 250 tons of aluminium. 70 % of production is for export especially to Germany, Netherlands, France and Austria.
