Company description
The foundation of the foundry in 1885 gave rise to the establishment of the entire enterprise MSA Dolní Benešov. The initial production of castings for boilers and heating bodies was completed with the assortment of castings for industrial valves and later pumps made of grey cast iron, and the foundry grew into the metallurgical basis of the engineering part of the enterprise.
In the restructuring process of the joint-stock company MSA, an independent subject MSA SLÉVÁRNA, s.r.o. came into existence in 1995 as a subsidiary with the controlling interest held by the parent joint-stock company. On 27 December 2003, the company MSA SLÉVÁRNA, s. r. o. was fully acquired by the company RKL Opava, spol. s r.o. which is engaged in domestic and international forwarding business as well as other activities connected with this main business activity.
On 6 August 2003, the company MSA SLÉVÁRNA, s. r. o. changed its name to Slévárna Dolní Benešov, s. r. o. with all activities being maintained without any change.
Slévárna Dolní Benešov, s. r. o. employs 125 persons today and produces about 4000 tons of castings annually. 70% of the production are designated for foreign markets, especially those of Germany, Luxemburg, Italy, Slovakia, Norway and Holland, while the rest is supplied to domestic buyers.
