Supplied components include cast, machined, pressed and plastic parts, fabrications and assemblies. Manufactured parts are suitably packaged for transportation and products can also be packaged to a 'retail ready' condition including labelling and printing of instructions and other documentation.

Services
SinoScan are a valuable partner to both customers and Chinese suppliers by providing support services throughout the product development process.
Customer documentation is interpreted to enable it to be understood by the Chinese suppliers. This includes translation, definition of any applicable standards and the explanation of any other special requirements. This work is done in a co-operation between Danish, American, British and Chinese engineers.
Quotations are individually prepared based on the type of parts to be manufactured and the annual volume requirement. SinoScan handles all the necessary administration from order to delivery including freight, export/import procedures, financing etc.
The SinoScan office in Shanghai supports the suppliers during production development to ensure that the parts fully comply with the technical requirements. SinoScan staff also inspect all orders before dispatch from China, obtain the required approvals for export and arrange the most appropriate transportation method. Product warehousing can be also be arranged.
Production technique
One of the main tasks for the SinoScan engineers is to ensure the most appropriate production technique is used for each part. This is performed in co-operation with both customers and suppliers.
Having an understanding of the relative strengths of all the suppliers within SinoScan’s network the engineers are able to select a supplier for a particular project on the basis of each part’s specific requirements and the supplier’s capabilities.
SinoScan encourage ongoing production method improvements within suppliers’ manufacturing systems. Also it ensured that product documentation is of an appropriate quality and sufficient level of detail before it is given to the supplier and support is provided to the supplier on technical issues whenever needed.
Quotations
The Danish, American and British SinoScan companies provide quotations directly to customers, based on drawings and other relevant technical documentation.
Quotations include unit price and tool price made in the customer’s preferred currency and delivery time scales for samples and production batches. The quotation will also include part specifications, specifying details of each of the quoted parts.
Pre-production activities
Before volume production is started, SinoScan will supply samples for customer approval. These samples are produced on the final production tools. The SinoScan staff participate during the production of the samples, ensuring that the components fully comply with the technical requirements and quality standards demanded by the customer.
Quality assurance and control
SinoScan has a comprehensive and well-established Quality Management System to ensure standards are maintained within the company. However, we also participate in the suppliers' quality assurance processes in accordance with each supplier’s needs.
SinoScan staff inspect each order before shipment from China, to ensure that it is to the agreed quality standards. A test-report is prepared for each delivery describing an agreed set of inspection parameters.
Production development
The SinoScan engineers have extensive experience of a wide range of production methods and are familiar with western company requirements. This knowledge is used to develop SinoScan’s sub-suppliers to enable them to meet the demands of a broader range of western companies.
Logistics and warehousing
SinoScan arrange the required approvals for export and the most appropriate transportation method, whether by sea or air freight. Transportation time by sea to either Europe or North America is typically 4-5 weeks.
Shipments are delivered duty paid (DDP) to the customer's address, including custom clearance, at no additional charge.
Product warehousing can be arranged in China and/or in Europe/America.
