Company description
The factory locating in Kispest was founded in 1901 by Hofherr Mátyás and the production was launched by manufacturing of agricultural machines and later on the company was transformed into shareholding company named Schrantz-Clayton-Shuttleworth (HSCS). Since 1948 until 1973 the company produced tractors, dumpers and earthmoving machines using the name DUTRA Red Star Tractor Manufacturing Co.
The company has got success and reputation both at the domestic as well as at the international market by manufacturing and sales of tractors, by agricultural craft machines.
The company between 1973- 2001 has been a sister company of the RÁBA PLC subsequently the RÁBA PLC operated and directed this company as a company limited based on its own 100% property in the company.
Since 1st December 2001 a five member ownership took over the management and holds the responsibility for the factory operation among independent enviroment meanwhile they have launched a comprehensive investment program in 2002 targeting the extention of the production at growing capacity aiming at technological improvement in all processing line. They have achieved parallelly a project development in the human sources and in the company's organization that of first stage is going to be finished at 2004.
The RÁBA Kispest Öntöde-és Gépgyár Kft recently the biggest Hungarian owned private supplying company in the field of axle parts applied at industry of commercial vehicles. A market leader in the production of brake drums, brake discs, agricultural brake drums, and at the production of axle related different castings made of iron, steel as well as leader on the after market.
The main production line of the company conducts production of heavy duty brake drums for commercial vehicles, production of agricultural brake drums manufacturing them in large yearly quantity, namely 250 000 pcs/year meanwhile the production of brake dics are at growing concern.
In the consequences of the widespread developments carried out within the factory there has been the condition to join to the passenger car industry in the field of parts manufacturing and moreover a possibility was coming out to export casted vehicle parts in direct way. The production of brake drums for SUZUKI passenger cars have besen launched duly in a large quantity (200 000 pcs/year) that created a big chance for expanding our market share.
Out of our basic activity we carry on substantional miscellaneous join works and provide service within the factory and in other hand we are hiring outsources tool manufacturing jobs (for instance heat treatment, machining, shipment etc) by assistant of our subsuppliers due to the market requirements.
