In 1950 the tradition of PBS in Velká Bíteš has started whose history roots reach as far as to 1814. In 1991 a joint stock company of První brnenská strojírna Velká Bíteš, a.s. has been established that belongs to that Czech companies which have achieved a very good market position (including the most demanding world markets) namely thanks to the excellent results of it's technical development tasks. In 1997 a joint venture of První brnenská strojírna Velká Bíteš, a.s. and MAN B & W Diesel A.G. named PBS Turbo s.r.o. has been established where the turbochargers production of PBS and MAN design has been transferred to.
Nowadays the company of První brnenská strojírna Velká Bíteš, a.s. is a modern and prosperous company structured into individual divisions with the activities focused on the services and products of high technical level, design purity, service and maintenance simplicity and high reliability. První brnenská strojírna Velká Bíteš, a.s. lively responds to customers' needs and provides reliable service. At present První brnenská strojírna Velká Bíteš, a.s. has approximately 900 employees.
A Company presentation in the markets is based above all on a permanent product quality of high level. In the area of quality improving the Company's systematic effort was finished with obtaining a Quality Control System certification according to ISO 9001 standard covering all the manufacturing process in all divisions. Lloyd's Register granted this certification in its British and German accreditation.
Besides that our products has been given with another certificates such as CAA-TI-009/96 (ÚCL), SLI/D 104 (ÚCL), RW TÜW (Bureau Veritas), GE, Honeywell etc.
