Company description

Parent company Druckgusswerk Ortmann GmbH & Co. KG was established in Velbert in Germany in the year of 1969. In 1996 the company obtained a certificate of quality according to the ISO 9002 standard. In 2000 the company was taken over by a business company Willi Kopf.

Subsidiary Ortmann s.r.o. was established in 2001 in Decín. Development of the company has been aimed at high productivity and quality of the products since the very beginning. In July 2002 the company successfully passed the certifying audit and obtained a certificate of quality according to ISO 9001:2000 standard.

At present there are 90 employees in the company, 18 casting automatic machines are in operation and month production of castings is higher than 120 tons.

Products

By means of pressure die casting we process a zinc alloy of mainly ZP0410 type according to ES 12844 into parts for window, door and furniture fittings, products for automobile industry, electrotechnics, communication systems, appliances for household and engineering. Weight of made sections varies from 0.5 to 2000 grams.

Our production programme includes both semi finished products, machined sections, sections with different finishes, mounting building elements and products for final users. We can offer different surfaces and finishes: mechanical ones - polishing and sanding or galvanic ones - zinc coat, chromate surface coating, brass plating, nickel coating and chrome plating and -last but not least- also lacquering.

In cooperation with external forwarding companies we offer professional logistical solutions.

All our activities are subordinated to high quality demands and to our customers satisfaction. Protection of our environment is very important for us, we use the technology, which was authorized from the view of impacts on the environment, and we recycle the used alloys with continuous quality monitoring.
