Company description

The Czech company Mostro, a.s. [stock corporation] is traditionally o­ne of the best manufacturers of high-pressure armatures for conventional and nuclear power stations. Having started producing industrial armatures in its plant in Prague-Modøany as early as in 1947, the Company is proud to say that its products can be found in power stations and heating plants all over the world, some of them under its former trademarks of Sigma or Modøanské strojírny.

Thanks to its new strategic partner, Aurora-Inteco (and the resulting inclusion in a strong international group), the Company has entered a completely new era of its history. Its new management is currently facing an ambitious objective – not o­nly to follow the Company’s past successes, but also to improve its position o­n all European markets, above all in the area of nuclear power engineering.

The Company’s long-term intentions are to start offering a complex assortment of valves, slide valves and shutters for energy-producing facilities and to expand into the area of auxiliary products through its own sales network. It is to focus o­n further increase of its labour productivity, competitive prices and extremely short delivery terms.

Both product designs and .nal execution are in full compliance with the General Technological Requirements of Nuclear Power Station Facilities and Piping (OTT – 87/91) and outgoing authorised technical conditions for each type of valve. All valves are either butt-welded or connected threaded, alternatively, a combination of the said methods is used, (valves KIP).
