Turbo Division
MEE started the production of turbochargers in 1991. During the period prior to that year, MHI had been manufacturing turbochargers for more than 35 years. In 1994, the total number of turbochargers produced exceeded 5,000,000. With its present manufacturing locations, the total annual production of turbochargers is more than 1,000,000 items, and is growing rapidly.
At MEE, in Almere, the Netherlands, the production capacity has recently been increased to more than 500,000 items per year. Together with supplies from MHI, Japan, we cover a significant amount of the market demand of the European automotive industry. In addition to that, MHI, MENA and MEE combined have already been a real global player for many years now.
The near future looks even more promising with the doubled capacity that will be available as from the beginning of 2004, as well as in view of the increased number of customer requests for deliveries.
Right from the starting phase, MEE has implemented state of the art production equipment for its production and assembly activities and this policy has been pursued since.
MEE's production lines are highly automated, which requires well-trained and accurate production personnel. This combination of production equipment and personnel results in top quality turbochargers for which we are known in the automotive industry.
In our production process, we have several stages during which parts are checked in different ways. Parts are automatically rejected if they do not meet the specifications. Furthermore, our assembly lines are equipped with ?smart? solutions that prevent the assembly from continuing if parts are being assembled incorrectly.
In this way, we can ensure the top quality of our products, of which we are very proud, at the end of the production and assembly lines. We truly can say that we are proud of the quality level we have achieved over the years. The process that preceded our achieving the QS9000 certification has certainly contributed to this and we are about to be ISO TS16949 certified as well, the latest standard in the automotive industry.
Over the years, MEE's turbochargers have been renowned for their most advanced design. It combines the lightest weight, most silently balanced and best response with a very competitive price.
MEE's well-developed design allows full automatic robot assembly and provides the world's highest quality standard.
A continuously growing number of clients do realise this.
Products and Machines
Since completing the first corrugating machine in 1956 with our own technology, Mitsubishi has been constantly developing a large number of epoch-making products to meet every application requirement of the corrugated industry.
Belt type finger-less single facers, computer aided production control systems and fully computerised flexo-folder gluers are typical examples of our most advanced products. MEE covers a broad range of equipment for the corrugated paper industry, including complete corrugators, flexo-folder gluers and rotary die-cut lines.
Paper is converted into all kinds of corrugated board from 0.5 mm up to and over 7.0 mm fluting sizes and all kinds of flute combinations, allowing our customers to serve their customers with boxes designed for optimum strength, product protection, minimisation of waste and the best presentation in terms of print and display.
