Company description

The manufacture of castings in Týnec nad Sázavou was established in 1931 by the Czech businessman Mr. František Janecek. The main production programme included metallurgical semi-finished products designed for the motorcycles JAWA, later also for the motor-cars JAWA 700 and JAWA Minor. Production of the aluminium castings was the foundation. Later production was expanded to include cast magnets type Al-Ni and steel castings.

The establishment is escalating the production volume very quickly and has become one of the most important suppliers of castings for the Czechoslovak industry.The establishment was privatized in 1992 and its name is METAZ now. At present, it has about 450 employees, and the annual turnover of about 360 ml. CZK. The products are exported to Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Sweden, UK, Belgium, Canada and Slovakia.

STEEL FOUNDRY

The steel foundry of Metaz a.s. in Tynec n/Sazavou offers following material versions of its manufacturing possibilities:

- carbon steel ( low-middle-alloyed steel )
- abrasion-resistant steel
- corrosion-resistant steel, high-alloyed steel
- heat-resistant-firm steel - INCONEL alloys
- steel for permanent magnets
- grey alloys Nirezit 1,1b , Nirezit 02, CSN 422305

The capacity of furnaces from 100 kg to 2200 kg of molten metal enables the casting even minimal quantity and capacity of production sortiment. The priority of the steel foundry is a manufacture of precise casting previously supplied for domestic automotive industry,now for foreign customers. The castings are manufactured mainly into the sand-moulding mixtures of modern composition either in machine moulding with moulding frames 500x350mm - 800x600mm or in hand moulding up to 1600x1600mm frame.
Foundry is fuly equipend according standards EN ISO 9002, VDA 6.1, QS 9000. An integral part of services offered is the possibility of wooden,plastic or metal pattern manufacture.
The extent of the services offered by the foundry gives an assurance of first class casting in acceptable delivery dates.


ALUMINIUM FOUNDRY

Castings from Aluminium foundry are mainly provided for the automotive,electrotechnical and aircraft industry.
casting into sand moulds made by machine-moulding with frame dimensions from 350x350mm to 800x600mm.
casting into sand moulds made by hand-moulding with frame dimensions max. 1000x1000mm.
Weight of the castings made by sand casting technology is approximately 0,1kg-25kg.
castings produced by gravitational technology into the moulds have weight 0,1-20kg.
castings produced by low-pressure technology into the metal moulds have weight 0,1kg-20kg.
precise castings produced by low-pressure technology into plaster moulds have weight max. 0,5kg.
