Individual planning, look-ahead technology and streamlined production. These are what has made the Neumarkt, Austria based company KUVAG Kunststoffverarbeitungs AG grow from its beginnings as an ambitious vision in 1979 to become one of the leading international suppliers of insulators and system components for electric power distribution. With a workforce of 120 and a number of international branches - in Vienna, the Czech Republic and even KUVAG Far East in Hong Kong, our base for expansion in China and Southeast Asia. Yesterday's vision has long been reality. And we now have more to offer than ever. Thanks to our advanced technology and the fact that in our subsidiary MEWAG we have our own inhouse manufacturer of tooling and casting molds, you will not only find a wealth of expe-rience and know how when you order from KUVAG, but also the very best technical preconditions for realising your ideas swiftly and perfectly. All the way from design and construction to mold production, prototyping and series manufacture.

Post insulators, bushings, enclosures or application-specific system components or assemblies in switchgear installations and industrial applications: we always think in terms of solutions rather than just materials. And because one of the fundamental principles of our service is target costing, the first step in every cooperative venture is to work out answers to two questions: What do you want your product to do, and how much can it cost?
Insulated - and that's guaranteed
Sun, rain, salt-laden fog, transformer oil, insulating gas and high voltages - these are just a few of the stresses that can act upon insulating components. Situations that call for high-performance compounds from KUVAG. In the development phase, we simulate every influence imaginable - from electrical, mechanical and thermal factors all the way to atmospheric ones - in order to determine the form-design and material-recipe formu-lations that will attain the very highest levels of function, safety and reliability in the finished constructional component.

For us, 'product' counts for much more than 'producing'! This is why the spectrum of services that we offer also includes engineering and continued product development, e.g. to optimize the functioning and utilisati-on of existing components. Our Engineering Office is also something of a seedbed for new ideas - ideas which are right at the beginning of their development and are then realised a step at a time using advanced prototyping technologies. Here, know-how from all areas of our work flows into the solving of the problem, there-by becoming an essential success factor in its own right - from thermodynamics and rheology to electrotechnology and process engineering; from mechanical engineering and tool-making to experience from the international research programmes in which KUVAG is a frequent participant
