Dynamism from a solid background
Dofra B.V.´s roots can be traced back to 1959. In that year Dofra constructed the first stainless steel knapsack sprayer. The features of this product were so unique, that a new standard in spraying technology was created. Nobody could have imaged then that this innovation would be the first in a long line of developments, each representing a new landmark in the spraying sector.
New products and in-depth knowledge
The national and international success achieved by the spraying equipment inspired Dofra to launch other products on the agricultural market. Highly specialised experts from the metal and plastics sector were attracted to the company and the engineering department strengthened by the addition of top agro-technical designers. All because Dofra was not just interested in producing competitive products - Dofra aimed to design the very best products available.
In the years following 1990 intensive co-operative ventures were initiated with various companies covering both prototype construction and development of special machinery. This policy has resulted in the rapid expansion of Dofra in these market segments. During this period Dofra was transformed in a fully order-driven organisation. To provide foreign customers in the agricultural sector with optimal service facilities, an international dealer network was formed.
In the same period alliances were also consolidated with diverse suppliers. For instance, Dofra operates globally in co-operation with Alcoa in addition to having close ties with certain production companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In this way, Dofra can offer the West European market large-scale production series for highly competitive prices
