Lower-Silesian Machine Factory ZANAM-LEGMET Ltd was founded on 06.06.2003 as a result of merger between Lower-Silesian Machine Factory Zanam Ltd in Polkowice and Mechanical Works Legmet Ltd (Zaklady Mechaniczne Legmet Sp. z o.o.) in Legnica.
The Company's headquarters is in Polkowice whereas all its production facilities are located in Legnica and Polkowice.

Both Zanam and Legmet had been well-known on the Polish Copper (Polska Miedz) Market for many years as major manufacturers of machines and equipment for mining industry, functioning as technical and repair resource base for the Mining and Smelting Industrial Complex (KGHM Polska Miedz S.A.).

Zaklady Mechaniczne Legmet Sp. z o.o. was founded in 1966. For a long time, the company's profile consisted mostly of CB4 haulage trucks and belt conveyors designed for use in underground ore mines. In time, based on accummulated experience in construction of machines and equipment, new products have been launched as targeted at market sectors of recycling and infrastructural building. The company's range of products has been thus extended, among others, by stationary and mobile crushing units for recycling of building waste, equipment for deep foundation and abrasion-resisting casts for use in quarries, which made it an attractive partner both for domestic and foreign firms.

Lower-Silesian Machine Factory ZANAM-LEGMET Ltd in Polkowice was founded in 1974. Initially, its basic task were general overhauls and repairs of mining machines and equipment, mainly for metal ore mines of the Mining and Smelting Industrial Complex. During many years of activity in the field, technological variety kept increasing, stock of machines was constantly modernized and latest technologies were gradually introduced. These days, the company specializes in manufacture of machines and equipment for ore mining, i.e. loaders, drill rigs, roof bolting units, auxiliary machines and their sub-assemblies.

At present, ZANAM-LEGMET continues the best tradition of the merged companies, with particular focus on inventiveness and high quality of the offered technical solutions.

Lower-Silesian Machine Factory ZANAM-LEGMET Ltd is an integral part of
Capital Group KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. (www.kghm.pl), 100% of the Company's stock is owned by Dolnoslaska Spolka Inwestycyjna S.A.
The Company is registered at the District Court for Wroclaw Fabryczna IX Economic Division under KRS 0000055091.
On 9 July 2004, the Company's capital amounted to: 12.034.850 PLN, with employment equal to 913 workers. After the merger, Lower-Silesian Machine Factory ZANAM-LEGMET Sp. z o.o. has further strengthened its position in the market by: increasing its market share, making its products complementary as well as increasing management effectiveness and production potential.
The Company holds Quality System Certificate acc. to PN-EN ISO 9001:2001, nr 57/4/2004.

Dynamic changes that have been recently taking place in the Capital Group of KGHM Polska Mied? S.A. require active participation of all economic subjects. After the merger of ZM Legmet and DFM Zanam, the company has further established its strong position both in the domestic and foreign markets.
Our production range of mining machines comprises specialized self-propelled machines: loaders, trucks for drilling and roof bolting, haulage trucks, auxiliary machines, belt conveyors. The company is a key supplier of mining machines for mines of KGHM Polska Mied? S.A. Many years of manufacturing experience as well as numerous technical innovations account for our global-scale competitiveness, which is further corroborated by a growing demand for our products in eastern markets.

Our company is also active in the field of infrastructural building offering jaw and impact crushers, both mobile and stationary. It renders professional recycling services, i.e. in crushing and sorting of building and mineral waste.

Another domain of the company's production activity is manufacture of large-size steel constructions. Long-term co-operation with many EU partners confirms the company's high competitiveness in manufacture of special welded constructions.

The DFM Zanam-Legmet foundry enjoys a high esteem among national and western contractors. For many years now, its high-quality steel and iron castings successfully compete with others on EU markets.
