CSEPEL Steel Pipe Ltd. was established in 1966 based on the technical knowledge and traditions of the CSEPEL steel pipe production since 1920. The long period of historical decades the honoure of the predecessors have been alloyed to the uptodate management ideas and the requirement of the continous technical development. These facts determine the production and the quality levels that are wellknown and approved by our partners.

The employees and the management of CSEPEL Steel Pipe Ltd. believe and hope the hollow sections and closed steel products will steadily used by the people for long time and solve their problems in the fields of construction and media transfering. For the better and better satisfaction of the demands by the people that producing buildings CSEPEL Steel Pipe develops their products, quality assurance system, management methods, and select the suppliers. Meanwhile they protect the environment and distribute to solve the problems of the local community and town.
The company is located on the area of the former CSEPEL Vas- és Fém-Müvek (CSEPEL Iron and Steel Works). 180 employees are working in the three workshops and the offices. The workshops slit the coils to the proper width, and the coils are cold formed and longitudinally welded to be steel pipes and finally hot galvanized if any. From the stores, connected to the workshops, the clients are served directly. The shipping facilities are available by truck, by rail and by barge on the Danube exploiting the very good possibility of the short distance between the factory and the FREEPORT.

Products

The longitudinally welded steel pipes are the main products of the company. We are using the uptodate techology named INDUWELD. The two forming and welding lines are equipped with automatic, Förster made Eddy Current Testers and semi automatic Water Pressure Tester.

In these ways the solidity and the seam tests are solved by 100%. For the special Buyer's requests or gas pipe lines we can improve the toughness and formability of our products by protective gas heat treatment process. Both the pipe ends threading and the accurate lengh cutting opeartions are available in our factory. Our manufacturing lines are suitable for producing the different sizes of square and rectangular pipes as well..
For the request of the endusers certain share of the pipes are hot galvanized on in- and outside. The semi automatic KÖRNER type hot galvanizing equipment, the single one in Hungary, is connected to the hot galvanizing bath and suitable for blowing out the pipes by steam. In this way the pipes can be used for the water pipelines for having the suitable surfaces. It is possible for hot galvanizing the surface of the steel constructions (traffic poles, fences etc.) to solve the durable corrosion resistance of these products. The slitting line is suitable to cut the coils to the proper width that can be used for the cold forming of the pipe and profile products and other purposes.
