Standard Fuel Tanks

Alutech manufactures aluminium fuel tanks for all major European OEMs. A series of applications that are specially adapted to customer needs are derived from the standard cross-sections of DC, MAN, Iveco, Volvo/RVI, DAF and Scania, in addition to the upgrading of trucks for MAXIMUM diesel volume. For example:

Tanks with integrated step
Tanks with partial cutouts
to make optimal use of the available space on the vehicle.

The use of high-quality 5000 series aluminium alloy materials guarantees corrosion resistance against diesel and against external environmental influences over the entire service life of the vehicle - even without expensive coatings. This ensures that the tank is 100% recyclable.

The special design of the tanks makes it possible to realise an optimised weight. The connection to the frame uses either standard OEM brackets or an aluminium bracket developed by Alutech. This aluminium bracket offers a weight advantage of approx. 50% compared with a typical steel bracket.

Aluminium Combi Tanks (Two-chamber Tanks)

Combi tanks are manufactured based on the cross-sections of all major European OEMs for applications such as one diesel chamber and one hydraulic oil chamber. The connection designs are identical to those of individual tanks. If desired, the tanks can also be designed with a double separating wall. This offers additional safety, which is particarly valuable for heavy-duty use at construction sites.

Advantages:

Low weight
Corrosion-resistance
Recycling
The use of fewer connection brackets compared with two separate tanks results in the additional advantages of lower costs and reduced weight, freeing up loading capacity on the vehicle.

Either standard OEM brackets or an aluminium bracket developed by Alutech (50% weight savings compared with a typical steel bracket) can be used to attach the tanks to the vehicle.

Aluminium Profile Bracket

Complete mounting set consisting of:

Brackets
Stainless steel retaining straps with fastening screws
Rubber tension elements
Rubber pads (tapered rubber element) - 2 per bracket
Properties:

Low weight
Corrosion-resistant
Can be manufactured for all OEM and special tanks

Compressed Air Tanks

Compressed air tanks are used in compressed air brake systems, in auxiliary equipment in the automotive sector (as per EN 286-2) and in the rail vehicles sector (as per EN 286-4).

Specific customer wishes can be addressed through variability in the volume design and flexibility in the determination of connection geometries, such as the design and position of connection pieces. This results in a broad range of products in addition to the standard tanks.

The advantages of Alutech compressed air tanks:

Low weight
Corrosion resistance without interior or exterior coating. This provides greater safety for the brake systems (no impairment from rust particles in the brake air system).
Long service life through high-quality welding, manufacturing and testing processes
Diverse and customer-oriented product range
Standard tanks as per DIN 74281-1 and DIN 5580
Designs as per RR 87/404/EEC and RR 97/23/EC
Wide range of diameters and volumes
Designs with different mounts

Aluminium Hydraulic Tanks

Hydraulic tanks are specially manufactured according to the customer requirements or customer drawings based on the cross-sections of all major European OEMs. In addition to the standard connections (suction connection, return filter connection), ventilation filters, level indicators and even connections for secondary circuits are offered as options. The most common systems on the market are offered in a standard product range. Special designs are implemented according to customer wishes.

The use of high-quality 5000 series aluminium alloy material guarantees corrosion resistance against the most commonly used hydraulic oils as well as against external environmental influences over the entire service life of the vehicle - even without expensive coatings.

If necessary, connection brackets can also be integrated into the tank.

Pressurised and Utility Water Tanks

These tanks are essential for the operation of cement mixing trucks and ready-mix trucks. Weight-saving vehicle design is an important factor in cement mixing trucks. Aluminium pressurised and utility water tanks make a major contribution to the required weight reduction.

Utility water tanks:

Ø650 Volumes to 800 litres
Ø750 Volumes to 800 litres
Design and manufacture according to customer requirements

Pressurised water tanks:

Ø650 Volumes to 800 litres
Ø750 Volumes to 900 litres

100 % TÜV certification and x-ray testing according to AD notice HP/A3. Design and manufacturing according to customer requirements

Customers:
Stetter, Liebherr, Intermix.

Special Tanks

Development and manufacture of special tanks for vehicles and special systems:

Solutions optimised for the available space
allowing more fuel on the vehicle
allowing more equipment (generators, pumps) on the vehicle
Special tanks for special trucks / heavy-duty tractors
Special military vehicles
Mobile cranes
Special systems: e.g. composting systems (Komptech)
Pressurised and utility water tanks for cement mixers
Special hydraulic tanks
Special combi tanks (diesel/oil)
The detailed design of the products as well as the technical welding work during production determine the quality level of the product for the customer.

We achieve this high quality standard thanks to the outstanding qualifications of the Alutech team in design and development, manufacturing and internal welding supervision.

Aluminium Air Cell for Air Suspension Systems

Air cells provide central compressed air for shock absorption in automobiles.
Alutech can offer the following:

Circular cross-sections
Solutions optimised for the available space based on extruded and specially reinforced profiles
Gas-tight, weldable thixoforming parts
Additional functions, such as connections, can be integrated into the preformed parts depending on the application. As standard, the connections are welded onto the tank. This requires the use of state-of-the art and precisely coordinated welding processes.

The pressure range of the current product selection is from 10 - 25 bar. The components achieve bursting pressures up to 100 bar. Using a 100% helium leak test, Alutech guarantees a leakage rate of 1.6x10-4 mbar/lsec.

Thanks to the corrosion resistance of the materials used, difficult and expensive coatings (interior and exterior) are not required. The component not only remains 100% functional and safe over the service life of a vehicle, it is also 100% recyclable.

By using the best aluminium alloys as well as state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, the products are optimised for weight and costs.

Aqua Clean® II - Biological SewageTreatment Plant

Aqua Clean® II is a waste water treatment system for flexible, decentralized use in regions without access to the public sewer network. The waste water treatment is based on the proven SBR (sequencing batch reactor) system. The biological cleaning processes take place in a backed up state with a separate sludge tank for sludge stabilization.

The Process Cycle of Aqua Clean® II:

Activation Phase (Picture 1):
The activated sludge is aerated with atmospheric oxygen throughforced aeration with fine bubbles via membrane aeration elements. This causes the biological decomposition process of the waste water. The membrane aeration elements can be freely removed without emptying the activated sludge basin.

Settling Phase (Picture 2):
The activated sludge settles to the floor area during the time without aeration, separating itself from the clarified water. A clarified water zone forms in the upper area of the SBR reactor.

Clarified Water Discharge Phase (Picture 3):
The clarified water is lifted to a defined level according to the air lift pump principle. The clarified water runs through the stilling well into the discharge channel and back into the cycle of nature. Samples can be taken from the stilling well, meaning that no special inspection chamber is required.

Sludge Discharge Phase (Picture 4):
The settled activated sludge is now moved via air lift pump to the excess sludge tank. The turbid water flows back into the SBR reactor through the turbid water return line.

The Applications of Aqua Clean® II:

Aqua Clean® ll plants are basically used if a connection to a public sewage system is neither ecologically nor economically meaningful. Perfectly suited for:

single family houses
hotels
condominiums
military stores in the mountains
refuges
alpine facilities (ski lift stations),
site facilities
service stations
power stations
camp grounds
golf clubs.
