Alfe Brno s.r.o. is a small foundry plant with a long-time tradition in production of casts. It was established in 1912 as the first Czech foundry works in the Brno district. The name of the foundry works was "Moravia - iron and wrought cast iron foundry works". After nationalisation in 1950 it was affiliated with textile works Partex Nova Vcelnice and there were textile machines casts produced.
Since 1992, the foundry works is a private company again, with Czech owners and with no foreign capital. It continues the tradicion of foundry production under name Alfe Brno and it employes 35 people. The foundry also continues in gray iron production and aluminium sand casting.
Since 1995 the foundry works started production of exact casts of zinc and tin based on the technology of spun casting into rubber forms. At present the foundry faciliate production of any casts of gray cast iron, ductile cast iron and non-ferrous metals as well.
